Philippines’ new visa-free entry for Indian tourists.

The Philippines, a Southeast Asian nation located at the end of the world, is renowned for its stunning blue lakes, white sandy beaches, and volcanic regions.  Tourists from around the globe are drawn to its vibrant landscapes.  In this context, the Philippine government has decided to grant visa-free entry to Indian citizens.  According to the Philippine Embassy in Delhi, Indian travelers can avail themselves of two types of visa-free short-term entry options. However, these options come with different eligibility criteria.

14-Day Visa-Free Entry:Under this section, Indian citizens are permitted to stay in the Philippines for up to 14 days without any visa, solely for tourism purposes. However, officials have clarified that this visa-free entry cannot be extended, nor can it be converted into another type of visa.

30-Day Visa-Free Entry:This category of visa-free entry offers a 30-day stay for Indian citizens who already possess valid visas or permanent residency permits from certain key countries such as Australia, Japan, the United States, Canada, and Singapore.The embassy has stated that Indian travelers are not eligible for entry without the aforementioned visa; however, they may utilize the e-visa option. The Philippine government has undertaken this action to attract tourists.
