Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his desire for China and India to collaborate more closely with Indian President Droupadi Murmu. India and China established diplomatic relations on April 1, 1950. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of this relationship, President Droupadi Murmu and President Xi Jinping exchanged greetings yesterday. At that moment, President Xi Jinping addressed Murmu, stating that China and India must work closely together. He emphasized that the relationship between the two nations should take on a dynamic form, akin to the dance of their symbolic animals, the dragon and the elephant. He urged both neighboring countries to explore ways to coexist peacefully. Furthermore, he expressed his readiness to enhance communication and coordination on significant international issues, as well as to collaborate in border areas to maintain peace. In 2020, tensions arose along the border following clashes between Indian and Chinese military personnel in Eastern Ladakh. However, this strain began to ease after both India and China reduced their troop presence in the areas of Depsang and Demchok in October of the previous year.
