A massive fire broke out at Escientia Advanced Sciences Private Ltd.

In the Special Economic Zone at Atchutapuram in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh.

This company manufactures intermediate chemicals and medicinal components.

According to report,Upto 381 employees worked two shifts in the company.

And the accident occurred during shift change.

On Wednesday, dead at least 17 workers and injured 20 more of them.

The death count will likely increase as the bodies of other workers .

It were believed to be trapped under the fallen remains of the slab on the first floor of the four-story structure.

The blast’s damage was so powerful that several workers’ ripped apart body parts went off a long way.

Thick flames and smoke covered the region.

Fire fighters from Anakapalli and the along with a few employees from pharmaceutical companies, rushed to the scene of the accident.

Additionally Two teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were called into action.

A number of workers who had become stuck on the third story were safely moved.

Also A large number of workers from surrounding pharmaceutical companies

The residents from Lalam Koduru, Maturu, SEZ Colony, members of various workers’ unions, leaders from the CITU, CPI(M), and other parties arrived at the factory

Moreover they expressed their dissatisfaction with the management.

Management allegedly violating safety standards.

Family members of the workers were spotted crying uncontrollably.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu naidu ordered to a high-level investigation regarding this incident.
