Established in 1970 by the iconic filmmaker Yash Chopra, YRF has grown to become one of the largest film studios in India, with leadership now in the hands of his son, Aditya Chopra, since 2012. During his visit, Sanchez engaged in discussions with YRF’s CEO, Akshaye Widhani, focusing on the studio’s impressive 50-year history and the anticipated expansion of India’s film industry in the coming five years. Widhani remarked on the significance of the visit, stating, “Spain has been incredibly supportive of us over the years, and we were very proud to have the President visit our studios.” Prior to this engagement, Sanchez and his wife, Begona Gomez, participated in Diwali festivities in Mumbai.
