A tragic road accident in Lancaster County, United States, resulted in the deaths of two Indian students, Saurav Prabhakar, aged 23, and Manav Patel, aged 20, both enrolled at Cleveland State University in Ohio. The incident occurred on May 10 when their vehicle veered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike, colliding with a tree before hitting a bridge, as reported by local authorities. The Consulate General of India in New York has conveyed its condolences and pledged support to the bereaved families during this challenging period. The Consulate expressed its sorrow on social media, stating, ‘We are deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate road accident in which two Indian students from Cleveland State University, Manav Patel and Saurav Prabhakar, lost their lives.’ According to Pennsylvania police, the accident transpired around 7 am on Saturday near the Reading Interchange in East Cocalico Township, with Saurav Prabhakar at the wheel and Manav Patel as a passenger, as detailed by LancasterOnline. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, with the coroner’s report indicating that they succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries, classifying their deaths as accidental.
