Former US President Donald Trump will visit China on an official three-day trip from May 13 to 15 after accepting an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the visit, both leaders are expected to hold important talks on trade, security, and major international issues. China’s Foreign Ministry confirmed the visit, stating that Trump will travel to China at the invitation of Xi Jinping. This will be the first visit by a US President to China in nearly nine years. The visit comes at a time of rising tensions between the two countries over issues such as the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, the global energy crisis caused by disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, and the Taiwan issue. There are also expectations that the two nations could discuss a new trade agreement during Trump’s visit.
