More than 1,900 Indian pilgrims have received visas from Pakistan to visit significant Sikh religious sites in celebration of Khalsa Sajna Diwas. The pilgrims expressed their happiness and appreciation for this opportunity, with one Sikh yatri stating, “We will be visiting Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib, and other key religious locations in Pakistan. Our ten-day journey begins on April 10.” Additionally, on April 7, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi hosted a representative group of Sikh pilgrims in anticipation of the Baisakhi festival. The Commission announced that the Government of Pakistan plans to issue over 6,500 visas for the Baisakhi festivities.
