India, led by captain Ayush Mathre, won the Under-19 Cricket World Cup by defeating England in the final. The title match was played in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. After winning the toss, India chose to bat first and scored a massive 411 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. Young star Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brilliant knock of 175 runs off just 80 balls. Captain Ayush Mathre scored 53 runs, while Abigyan Kundu, Vihan Malhotra, and Kanishk Chauhan also made useful contributions. This total became the highest score ever in an Under-19 World Cup final. Chasing a huge target of 412 runs, England struggled and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were reduced to 177 for 7 in 22 overs before a brief fightback by Falckner and James Minto, who added 92 runs for the eighth wicket. Their partnership was broken by Ambrish, who dismissed both batters. England were finally bowled out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs, giving India a big 100-run victory. With this win, India lifted the Under-19 World Cup title for the sixth time, having earlier won the tournament in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2022.
