In a recent interview, Shalini Passi, a prominent figure from the Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives and a rising star on social media, disclosed that she has shaved her head on several occasions. In the series, Passi captivates audiences with her glamorous portrayal of Cleopatra at a lavish gala. When questioned about the depiction of women from Delhi as “over-the-top,” she offered her insights on fashion, emphasizing its connection to cultural traditions. She explained that in North India, particularly among Sikhs, the practice of not cutting hair leads to innovative styling methods, incorporating accessories such as hairbands, clips, flowers, jhumkas, and tiaras to maintain a fresh appearance.
Passi further elaborated on her personal experiences, revealing that she has shaved her head four times at the Tirupati temple as a form of devotion. She expressed that these acts were about giving back, stating, “I don’t focus much on styling because I know I’ll donate it eventually,” with her most recent shave occurring in 2018. In a notable philanthropic gesture, she and her husband, Sanjay Passi, contributed Rs 10 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in 2021. An esteemed art collector and philanthropist, Shalini Passi has been married to Sanjay Passi since the year 2000.
