South Indian Restaurant “Semma “ tops the list of New York’s best restaurants in 2025. A  South Indian restaurant in Greenwich Village, New York, is famous for its authentic cuisine and Michelin-star status. It topped The New York Times’ annual list of the 100 best restaurants, known for its bold flavors and fresh take on traditional dishes. The ranking was determined by critics Priya Krishna, Melissa Clark, and editor Brian Gallagher, who evaluated over 20,000 restaurants based on authenticity, service, innovation, ambiance, and consistency. In 2024, “Semma” in the No. 7 position and has now risen to No. 1. And also maintained its Michelin star for three consecutive years.
