China is rapidly strengthening its military technology and is now preparing to deploy humanoid robot soldiers along its borders. After already introducing robot dogs, China has signed a ₹330-crore agreement with UBTech Robotics to supply 500 Walker S2 humanoid robots by the end of this year. These AI-powered robots can lift up to 15 kg, move at 2 meters per second, and operate 24 hours continuously using a unique dual-battery system. China plans to first use them for patrol duties along the Vietnam border and later expand robot deployment across all major border regions.

Meanwhile, China has achieved a new milestone in robotics. Shanghai-based Agibot developed a human-shaped robot named Agibot A2, which recently completed a long-distance autonomous walk. Starting from Suzhou, the robot followed traffic rules and walked 106 km in three days before reaching Shanghai’s Bund area. This is the first time a humanoid robot has walked such a long distance without interruption, earning it a place in the Guinness World Records.
