The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection for the month of November in India reached ₹1.70 lakh crore, according to data released by the Central Government. In comparison, GST collection for November 2024 was ₹1.69 lakh crore, showing only a 0.7% increase this year. Officials say that the slow growth is mainly due to recent GST rate cuts. In contrast, October’s GST collection showed stronger growth, rising by 4.6% from ₹1.87 lakh crore last year to ₹1.95 lakh crore. Overall, from April to November 2025, GST revenue has grown by 8.9%, totaling ₹14.75 lakh crore for the eight-month period. The data also reveals that India’s net GST revenue for November increased by 1.3%, reaching ₹1,52,079 crore. Meanwhile, the total refunds issued to taxpayers decreased by 4%, amounting to ₹18,196 crore. These figures highlight the government’s assessment of GST performance during the month and offer insights into how tax rate adjustments and economic activity are influencing revenue trends.
