Prime Minister Narendra Modi characterized the Maha Kumbh 2025 as a significant “mahayagya of unity,” emphasizing its potential to elevate the cultural and spiritual identity of the nation. During a public meeting where he inaugurated several developmental initiatives, he noted that the Maha Kumbh serves to dissolve the distinctions among various castes and sects. Modi stated, “The Maha Kumbh is a mahayagya of unity,” asserting its role in enhancing the country’s cultural and spiritual stature.He launched 167 major development projects, valued at Rs 5,500 crore, designed to enhance the infrastructure of the city in preparation for the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela.
Among these initiatives is the Sah’AI’yak Chatbot, an Artificial Intelligence-driven platform intended to facilitate communication for the devotees attending the event. Prior to the public meeting, the Prime Minister commenced his visit with a ceremonial puja and darshan at the sacred Sangam, the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, and also enjoyed a river cruise before the puja. In attendance at the puja were Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who accompanied the Prime Minister. The 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela is scheduled to take place from January 13 (Paush Poornima) to February 26 (Maha Shivratri) in Prayagraj, with the event being held every 12 years.
