Russia has carried out a series of heavy attacks on Ukraine using missiles and jet-powered drones. The war between Russia and Ukraine has continued for more than four years, and Russia has stepped up its attacks in recent days. Airstrikes have targeted Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, and other cities. Several buildings, offices, fuel stations and communication centres have been damaged in the attacks. Some civilians have been killed, while many others have been injured and taken to hospitals. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a Russian drone attack on the National Academy of Sciences building in Kyiv killed one person and injured three others. Russia has also used new jet-powered drones and missiles to target residential buildings, offices, warehouses and data centres in Kyiv. The new drones are reportedly faster than older Shahed or Geran-2 models, making them more difficult to intercept.
