Bengaluru faced a sudden downpour of 100 mm rain overnight

Since last night (Sunday) until this morning (Monday), Bengaluru has experienced heavy rainfall exceeding six hours, resulting in flooding and traffic disruptions in various parts of the city. According to data from the meteorological center, the city received 105.5 mm of rain in the past 24 hours, with 78.3 mm recorded at HAL Airport and 105.5 mm at Kempegowda International Airport.According to data from the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), rainfall exceeding 100 mm was recorded in several areas of Bengaluru from 8:30 AM on May 18 to 7:00 AM on May 19. Notable locations include Kengeri (132 mm), the KSNDMC GIO campus (125.8 mm), Someshatnahalli (119.5 mm), Madhanayakanahalli (116.5 mm), and Yelahanka Soudeshwari (103.5 mm).According to data from the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), rainfall exceeding 100 mm was recorded in several areas of Bengaluru from 8:30 AM on May 18 to 7:00 AM on May 19. Additionally, the weather monitoring center has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Bengaluru until May 23, along with an orange alert for the regions of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, and Belagavi.
