Tensions in the Middle East have escalated sharply as Iran launched attacks targeting American military bases in Jordan and several Gulf countries in response to recent US military operations.According to reports, Iran’s military shot down an advanced US Apache helicopter that was patrolling near the Strait of Hormuz. The helicopter reportedly crashed into the sea near the coast of Oman at around 3:30 a.m. on Monday. The US Central Command confirmed the incident and later carried out airstrikes against Iranian targets early Wednesday.In retaliation for the American attacks, Iran launched missile strikes targeting US military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. Local news agencies claimed loud blasts were heard during the early morning hours, although the exact cause has not yet been confirmed.Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the United States through a social media post, saying, “If you want to remain safe, leave our region.” Meanwhile, the US military stated that its retaliatory operations against Iran had been completed following the helicopter incident.Iran’s Foreign Ministry also warned that its allies in the Gulf region have a legal and moral responsibility to prevent American and Israeli military actions against the country.The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes, and any military conflict in the area could affect global energy markets and international trade.
