TVA is assisting Tamils in Germany to organize Tamil classes in their local communities.
These classes started in Meissen, Germany. More than 3 thousand Tamil families in Meissen gets benefit from it.
Meissen Tamil Sangam was founded in 2017 in Germany. It is a certified and recognized social service provider in Germany.
Its three primary goals are nursery tamil education, Tamil libraries and Tamil philology.
Thus, the German government has granted space in one of its primary school buildings for Tamil classes at a 25% fee.
Rajeshwari Swaminathan, a German resident Tamilian and general secretary of Meissen Tamil Education Association, states that In May 2019, we signed an agreement to cooperate with the Tamil Nadu government and began Tamil classes here.
